OjaiStyle Artist News Whitney Hartmann

The beautiful imagary and photos on the OjaiStyle website were commissioned from Ojai photographer Whitney Hartmann. Her eye for the unexpected has made OjaiStyle uncommon among fine living websites. Whitney has created note cards for OjaiStyle -- a selection of four images of Ojai set on linen. $25.00 for eight cards.

Art Scholarship for Ojai Valley Students

Applications are being accepted for the annual art scholarship program hosted by the Ojai Studio Artists.

Since 1993, OSA has provided more than $126,000 in support of local art outreach programs. Of this amount, more than $76,000 was in the form of art scholarships to talented Ojai Valley students, according to the OSA. High school and college students who are permanent residents of the Ojai Valley and are pursuing a career in the visual arts are eligible to apply.

Awards will be presented May 24 during the opening reception of the Ojai Studio Artists' spring exhibit, Made in Ojai VI. The reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ojai Valley Museum and the winners' artwork will be exhibited.

Ruth Farnham (an OjaiStyle artist) and Kristina Grey are co-chairing this year's scholarship commitee.
